A teenager is facing an arson charge following a barn fire early this morning (Jan. 12) that killed approximately 100 cows in the Town of Burke, reported New York State Police.
Crews responded to the barn fire at 4:03 a.m. on the East Road. A preliminary investigation determined an 18-year-old was responsible for the fire, according to state police
The teen was arrested and charged with third-degree arson and arraigned in the Town of Burke Court
No injuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.
