As a concerned citizen in the Norwood-Norfolk Central School District, I am worried about the direction our school is going. Our leadership claims they are making decisions based on what is best for our students, but they continue to cut staff that are working directly with our kids. This year, we are losing 7.5 positions that directly work with kids. That’s six teachers and 1.5 teaching assistants. While this is happening, with the new money found, we are adding $45,000 to the budget for additional administrative costs. Oh, by the way, the BOCES administrative budget that just passed for the 2012-13 school year is over $4 million. Students first. What a crock.
