LAWRENCE -- A Winthrop man was charged with sexual abuse of a child under age 11, according to state police.
Robert J. Bernard, 54, was charged at 6:07 p.m. Monday with first-degree sexual abuse: Contact with person under age 11, officers said.
The alleged incident was reported to troopers May 21.
Bernard was released to a third party, police said.
