Seasonably warm days with sunshine and scattered afternoon showers will persist through Monday, with the chance for a rumble of thunder on Sunday and Monday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

Expect a high today and tomorrow around 72 with light winds, the service says. Overnight lows will be around each night.

Quiet, warm weather is expected for the middle of next week as a ridge of high pressure establishes itself over the region. Weather becomes more active heading into the next weekend.

The forecast through Friday is as follows:

Sunny, with a high near 72. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph.

Mostly clear, with a low around 46. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph after midnight.

Monday

Sunny, with a high near 72. West wind 6 to 9 mph.

Partly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind around 7 mph.

Tuesday

Mostly sunny, with a high near 77. Southwest wind 6 to 9 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Tuesday Night

Mostly clear, with a low around 54. Southwest wind around 6 mph.

Sunny, with a high near 78. West wind around 8 mph.
