WADDINGTON — The Waddington Volunteer Fire Department recently received a grant from the Gary Sinise Foundation.
The grant of $26,090 was used by the department to replace equipment that was outdated and non-serviceable. The money was used to buy 18 Kenwood P25 compliant portable radios, a new MSA multi-gas meter and a new MSA thermal imaging camera.
The grant was 100% funded by the foundation with no money having to come from the taxpayers in our village and town.
The Gary Sinise Foundation’s First Responders Outreach Program helps provide funding for critical equipment for first responders.
The Waddington Volunteer Fire Department is grateful to the Foundation for their help in replacing this equipment.
