MADRID — Two Madrid residents were jailed July 16 on bench warrants following a trespassing investigation on CR 14, according to state police.
Troopers said they spotted Michael B. Middlemiss, 32, and Alexis M. Fleming, 24, trespassing on property on CR 14.
When they were located and interviewed by troopers, Fleming gave false information about her identity.
Both subjects were found to be wanted on bench warrants from St. Lawrence County Court. They were also in possession of quantities of methamphetamine, and a pill identified as acetaminophen and oxycodone.
Middlemiss and Fleming were both charged with four counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of controlled substance in non-original container.
Fleming was additionally charged with one count of second-degree criminal impersonation.
They were both reportedly remanded to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility due to the bench warrants.
Middlemiss and Fleming are scheduled to reappear in Madrid Town Court at a later date.
