The St. Lawrence Lewis BOCES tech sites are undergoing major improvements at the three locations in St. Lawrence County; Seaway Tech in Norwood, Northwest Tech in Ogdensburg, Southwest Tech outside of Gouverneur.

At Seaway Tech, in Norwood, there are three additions, with the foundations for the west and north additions now complete and backfilled, ready for structural steel and the south addition just starting.

Sitework at Seaway is tied into the additions’ completion but much progress has already been made this year with a new south loop drive in place, and some new sanitary & drainage installed.

Interior summer 2020 renovations included a new HVAC shop and classroom, complete reconstruction of metalworking shop and classroom, new auto tech classroom, new toilets, corridor finishes as well as new electric service, data upgrades and major improvements to the mechanical and plumbing systems building-wide.

Northwest Tech has had major sitework improvements including new drainage and sanitary, new south loop drive, sidewalks and expanded parking.

Also nearing completion at NW Tech are the auto tech shop & classroom renovations; natural resources and special programs classrooms, cosmetology suite upgrades, new toilet rooms, new corridor & classroom doors and overhead doors as well as major upgrades with a new electric service, data upgrades, new fire alarm system.

Extensive mechanical & plumbing systems upgrades are aksi being done throughout.

Progress is continuing on the large NW Tech addition as well as exterior siding and insulation.

At Southwest Tech site development including: new asphalt drives, walks, grading & drainage including a new South Loop drive, is essentially complete.

Also nearing completion at SW Tech are renovations of the welding shop & new classroom, cosmetology suite, CNA/allied health, multi-occupational and building trades classrooms, toilet rooms as well as new corridor and classroom doors, new overhead doors, dust collectors, exterior siding and insulation and major upgrades throughout the building including a new electric service, data, fire alarm, plumbing and mechanical systems.
