POTSDAM – Instead of charging for tickets, the SUNY Potsdam athletic department will hold food drives during men's and women's basketball games on Jan. 7 and 8, and men's and women's hockey games on Jan. 11.
While a donation is not required for admission, fans are encouraged to drop off any non-perishable food items at the entrance. The donations will be given to the Potsdam Neighborhood Center.
The women's basketball team begins at 6 p.m. on the 7th and 2 p.m. on the 8th, while the men's team is scheduled for tip-off at 8 p.m. and 4 p.m., respectively, on those dates. The Bears host Brockport on Friday and Geneseo on Saturday.
On Jan. 11, men’s and women’s hockey teams host non-conference opponent Castleton. The women's game begins at 3:30 p.m., and the men's contest is slated for 7 p.m..
