CANTON -- The St. Lawrence County legislature has appointed a new county Youth Bureau director.
At their Monday, Feb. 3 meeting, the board appointed Alexa Backus to the position at a $60,821 salary.
"I think she'll be a great addition to our management team,” County Administrator Ruth Doyle said.
Doyle added that Backus is returning to the North Country from Illinois to take the position.
