Heuvelton Republican Patricia RItchie won the race for state Senator from incumbent Democrat Darrel Aubertine on Tuesday by a 10.8 percent margin, 36,055 - 32,541.
Meanwhile, Democrat state Assemblywoman Addie Russell received 17,067 votes, compared to 13,735 for Republican challenger David Forsythe to keep her seat. In the 122nd district, Republican Ken Blackenbush received 15,228 votes, compared to 12,429 for Democrat Brian McGrath. The seat is being vacated by Republican Deidre Scozzafava.
And in the 47th state Senate seat race, Republican incumbent Joe Griffo easily beat Democrat Michael J. Hennsessy 51,282-23,103
