OGDENSBURG – An Ogdensburg woman faces meth charges following a search warrant execution on St. Patrick’s Day.
The resident, Jade J. Vernsey, 35, was charged with possession of a controlled substance in the second-degree and unlawful manufacturing of methamphetamine in the third-degree.
Vernsey was arraigned in Ogdensburg City Court and remanded to the St Lawrence County Correctional Facility without bail.
The Ogdensburg Police Department was assisted in the investigation by the St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office, the New York State Police, the Village of Gouverneur Police Department, the St Lawrence County Drug Task Force, United States Homeland Security Investigations, and the New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team.
The investigation is ongoing and further arrests are possible. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
