OGDENSBURG -- Two Ogdensburg residents were charged with felony drug possession following a traffic stop on New York Avenue Tuesday, according to St. Lawrence County sheriff's deputies.
Brooke B. Benjamin, 31, and Joshua P. Gilbert, 33, were charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, officers said.
K-9 Officer Shelly alerted officers to the presence of narcotics inside the vehicle.
Deputies discovered 193 packets of fentanyl, five grams of methamphetamine and a variety of controlled substance pills, officers said.
Benjamin was remanded to St. Lawrence County jail and Gilbert was released on his own recognizance, officers said.
