OGDENSBURG — An Ogdensburg man has been charged following a domestic dispute involving a firearm, State Police say.
Michael J. Farrell, 58, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree menacing, police say.
Troopers say they responded to a domestic dispute involving a rifle on Gilmour Road in the town of Morristown.
An investigation determined Farrell was highly intoxicated while having a verbal altercation with the victim before making threatening remarks and shooting off rounds near the victim, police say.
Farrell surrendered and was taken into custody at which time he was arrested and transported by State Police to Ogdensburg for processing, police say.
He was arraigned in Town of Morristown Court and released on his own recognizance.
Farrell is set to appear in Town of Morristown Court later in October.
