NORWOOD — The Norwood-Norfolk Central School Board of Education accepted the resignation of a social studies teacher and approved several winter coaches.
The coaches were approved even though it is possible all sports seasons will be cancelled due to the pandemic.
Winter coaches approved, pending sport approval: Nate Plantz, boys varsity basketball; Jason Gallant, girls varsity basketball; Kevin LaPoint, girls JV basketball; Rachel LaPoint, girls modified basketball; Doug Lavigne, varsity hockey; Rick Short, varsity hockey assistant; Gino Bisceglia, indoor track; and Stephanie Bisceglia, indoor track assistant.
Unpaid, volunteer assistant coaches, pending sport approval: Mike LaShomb, boys basketball; Jeff Dobbins and Chris Plonka, varsity hockey.
The Board also approved time/score keepers: Jim Belgarde and Sydney Daniels and athletic event supervisor: Michael LaShomb.
The resignation of secondary social studies teacher Jeffrey Johnson was accepted.
The long-term sub appointment of Andrew Butler was accepted.
