The group spent about 60 hours on the project. They are Nico Sweeney, Erin Stickney, Catherine Phippen, Lyndon Cook, Carla Thiele, Elsu Bektimir Kyzy, Klarrisa McGrath, Rayth Vonhoffmann, Storrm McConnell, and Kaelee Shrewsberry. They were advised by Ben Yandeau, their art teacher.
“They are to be thanked for their work,” said a press release from Norwood Village Green Concert Series.
For 2019, the Norwood Village Green Concert Series embellished the Liotta Bandshell on the Norwood Village Green by including a seasonal banner enhancing the lighting that was added in the 2018 seasonal display on the Green. The series recycled its 2019 four-foot-by-20-foot series banner by using the back side. The theme specified was “Season’s Blessings.”
Many years ago, Charley Cotey installed a cable on the bandshell. The series uses this cable form several purposes including creating a backstage area for certain performances. In this case the cable was used to hang the banner. “The series acknowledges Cotey’s help for that effective project,” the release said.
