As seniors age, they may struggle with many aspects of daily life. These struggles can present themselves in many ways, and oftentimes seniors feel frustrated by a lack of knowledge about programs that can help them.

North Country Matters looks at the resources for the county’s 23,000 seniors with Andrea Montgomery, director of the St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging. She talks to NCM host Donna Seymour about ageism, senior health and wellness, ways to combat social isolation, signing up for Medicare, and how the new STAR rules will affect seniors in this edition of the local video news show.

They also discuss the St. Lawrence County Office for the Aging’s 4 Year Needs Assessment Survey which will help the Office determine the critical issues for seniors in the county. The survey is available at any Nutrition Center located throughout the county or the Main Office located at 80 State Highway 310 in Canton.
