For more than a year, the marquee at the American Theater in Canton periodically posted the phrase “See You Soon.”
Well that greeting becomes a reality Friday when two area theaters re-open their doors to moviegoers.
The American Theater, 84 Main St., Canton and the Massena Movieplex, 116 Harte Haven Plaza, Massena, will offer two shows nightly and weekend matinees.
The Roxy Theater in Potsdam will remain closed until further notice.
The 56 Auto Drive-in Theater has been open since the spring.
Here’s a look at the movie selections showing Friday through Thursday, June 25 to July 1.
American Theater
• The Fast Saga, nightly at 6:45 and 9 p.m.; matinees on Saturday and Sunday, 12:20 and 3 p.m., and Monday - Thursday at 1 p.m., 143 minutes, rated PG-13.
• Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, nightly at 7 and 9:30 p.m.; matinees on Saturday and Sunday, 12:45 and 3:10 p.m., and Monday - Thursday at 1 p.m., 93 minutes, rated PG.
• A Quiet Place Part 2, nightly at 7 and 9:15 p.m.; matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 12:45 and 3 p.m., and Monday - Thursday at 1 p.m., 100 minutes, rated PG-13.
• Hitman's Wife Bodyguard, nightly at 7 and 9:15 p.m; matinees on Saturday and Sunday at 12:45 and 3 p.m., and Monday - Thursday at 1 p.m., 100 minutes, rated R.

The 56 Auto Drive-in Theater
Friday, June 25, to Thursday, July 1, the drive-in will be showing: The Fast Sage (PG-13) at about 9:15 p.m. and Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do it (R) at around 11:45 p.m. each night.
General admission costs $7.50, children 12 and younger cost $3.50, children 3 and younger are admitted free.
