It was another close competition in Chippewa Bay this year at the 7th annual Rugged Wench competition.
With a time of 4:25, rooky Emily Waldt defeated Christine Langtry who had a time of 4:57.
Third place went to returning competitor Jessica Poore with a time of 5:05.
This year’s competition saw seven new women and three returning competitors including 2-time winner Lynn Sprabary who placed 5th with a time of 5:50.
Other competitors were Deb McDonald, Nicole LeClair, Trudy Heath, Shannon Furgison, Rachael Calhoun and Mary Ann Mathews.
This is an annual competition that is held at the Chippewa Bay Fish & Game Club Annual Corn Roast.
The competition was a timed course of balancing, setting a tip-up, sawing wood, hammering a nail, casting a fishing rod and shooting a target.
