CANTON -- St. Lawrence County is set to hold a public hearing regarding salary increases for certain employees Jan. 2 at 5:50 p.m. in the Legislative Chambers.
According the recommendation passed by the finance committee Monday, salaries will increase by 2 percent and those not at the maximum pay grade will advance one step on the schedule.
The following salaries are included in the resolution: County Administrator $116,408, County Attorney $111,999, Commissioner of Social Services $104,791, Highway Superintendent $102,792, Conflict Defender $98,436, Public Defender $98,436, County Sherriff $98,436, Human Resources Director $96,204, County Clerk $86,314, County Treasurer $86,314, Real Property Director $77,287 and Elections Commissioner $64,295.
The recommendations from the finance committee will be presented to the full board of legislators before the public hearing is officially set.
