Keep the jumper cables handy tomorrow, as the National Weather Service is predicting temps could feel like -18 overnight when factoring in windchill.
The good news is: They’re also predicting a warming trend that should bring temperatures into the high 30s by Thursday, and little snow is predicted until the end of the week.
Tonight should be clear with a low around -7, but with 3 to 6 mph winds making it feel more like -18.
Tuesday should be sunny with a high near 18, however, windchill might give the impression it’s more like -11. Tuesday night is predicted to be calm and clear with a low around zero.
Wednesday starts the warm-up trend with another clear day on tap and a high of near 27 degrees. The wind will be very light or non-existant. The low Wednesday evening, again with no wind, should be around 5.
Thursday is the first day in the week the NWS is predicting possible precipation, with a light chance of snow showers. The high could reach 36, and the low will only drop overnight to 25 degrees.
