BRASHER -- Lynne Durant, will run as an independent candidate for SLC Legislator District 13.

She plans to make a formal announcement May 12, at 6:30 p.m. at the Riverview Restaurant in Brasher Falls. Durant is a Democrat and is running on the “Our Community” party line.

“I am running for Legislator because the growth of our individual townships requires that we work together at the County level,” said Ms. Durant. “As a lifetime resident of

District 13, I am familiar with the character and interests of our community, and I’m prepared to be an advocate for our needs on the County Legislature.”

Residents of District 13, which encompasses the Towns of Brasher and Lawrence as well as parts of Massena, are invited to attend and to sign Ms. Durant’s petition to appear on the ballot on the “Our Community” line in the November 2022 election.
