MORRISTOWN — Three pets died in a fire May 6 on English Settlement Road, according to Morristown Fire officials.
The blaze near the intersection of Gilmour Road and English Settlement Road was reported at 11:20 a.m.
Firefighters reportedly arrived to find the structure fully involved upon arrival. Firefighters hooked onto a camper that was directly in front of the residence and dragged it to a safe place. The camper trailer received minor damage.
The house is considered a complete loss and is insured.
No injuries were reported but a dog and two cats died in the fire.
Morristown Fire Department responded with five trucks and 21 firefighters and received mutual aid from Brier Hill, Hammond, Heuvelton & Ogdensburg Fire Departments.
Also on scene were the Morristown & Brier Hill Auxiliary’s and National Grid.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
