CANTON – Current Canton Town Supervisor Mary Ann Ashley has announced her intention to run for the position in the November election.
“I am announcing my candidacy for reelection as Canton Town Supervisor. For the past three years, we have focused on the people and provided quality public services with the highest standard of excellence,” Ashley said in a prepared statement released Tuesday, Nov. 16.
Ashley, a former Canton village mayor and trustee, was elected to the supervisor’s seat in the November 2017 election.
“Our teams, including shared services partnerships, volunteer committees and boards, have worked tirelessly and accomplished a great deal with limited resources. Together, we moved the Town forward, on several levels, in the best interest of the taxpayer,” Ashley said.
“I am grateful to have been given the opportunity to serve as Town Supervisor and be a member of a visionary Town Board. There is a lot more work to be done, and continued support of our heartfelt efforts would be sincerely appreciated,” she said.
