Free meals have been extended to all St. Lawrence County students through the end of the school year.
At the start of the school year, most North Country families were eligible to receive free meals through the end of the calendar year.
Earlier this month the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved extending free meals to all children throughout the entire 2020-2021 school year.
“As our nation recovers and reopens, we want to ensure that children continue to receive the nutritious breakfasts and lunches they count on during the school year wherever they are, and however they are learning,” said U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue.
Families can check with their local school district to get details on free lunches in their district.
