MASSENA — A Fort Covington woman was arrested for third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, state police say.
Annette Hargrove, 57, allegedly attempted to enter Canada through the Massena Port of Entry on Nov. 25 at approximately 12 p.m., according to police.
Upon a vehicle search, police located an unloaded AR-15 rifle, police say.
She was released on her own recognizance to return to the town of Massena court on Dec. 9, police say.
Following a search of Hargrove’s home, state police also seized an illegally-possessed Glock handgun, police say.
Hargrove was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and is to appear in town of Westville court on Jan. 5, police say.
