(Rutland, Vt.)- The SUNY Canton men’s basketball team dropped a 93-83 decision to the College of St. Joseph Sunday afternoon in Rutland, Vt.
The Roos (11-8) were led by sophomore Khalid Vaughn (New York, N.Y.) who tossed in 22 points to go along with five assists and four steals.
Junior Irving Cato (New York, N.Y.) added 17 points, six rebounds and three steals. Sophomore Scott Dixon (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman Timothy Taylor (New York, N.Y.) had 12 points apiece and junior Ryan Lamica (Constable, N.Y.) contributed 10 points, eight assists and four steals.
Brendan Rios scored 19 points to pace the Fighting Saints as the sophomore sank three of St. Joseph’s 13 3-pointers in the game.
The Roos hit the road for their next two games starting on Thursday, Feb. 9 at The Sage Colleges and then on Friday, Feb. 10 at Green Mountain College.
