Senior Wendy Pavlus, the 2011 USTFCCCA Indoor Women's Athlete of the Year, added Liberty League Indoor Track Performer of the Year to her lengthy and impressive list of awards and accomplishments and coach Kate Curran and freshman jumper Victoria Bean shared two of the other top awards in voting by the league's coaches.
Pavlus won her fourth straight NCAA championship with a win in the 5000 at the NCAA Division III indoor championships and was mile and 800 champion in the Liberty League Indoor Championships. The award was her fourth straight Liberty League Indoor Track Performer of the Year award. She was also Outdoor Performer of the year in 2010 and Rookie of the Year outdoors in 2008.
Bean was named co-Indoor Rookie of the Year, winning the long and triple jump and running on the winning 4x200 relay team in the Liberty League Championships.
Curran coached the Saints to the 2011 Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Championship and to a fourth place finish in the NYSCTC Championships. She is assisted by Mike Howard, John Newman, Kevin Burrall, Katie Gernand, and Aland Joseph.
