With the Memorial Day weekend being the unofficial start to summer, the Memorial Cup was awarded for the 31st time at the Mohawk International Raceway. The stands were filled as well as the pits for another classic at the Mohawk International Raceway. After the heat races it would be time for the features.

First up it would be the Mini Stocks for their 12 lap feature. CJ Smith would show the way from the pole along side Felix Lavictoire. Francis White would quickly gain the lead from the 2nd row and take the lead on Lap 1. Francis White would go unchallenged for 12 laps to pick up the win.

The first round of the Twin Leaf series would be set to battle for 35 laps. It would be Dustin Bradley and Dan Reif set to fire from the 1st row. Reif would lead the first 2 laps before Cedric Gauvreau would duck inside him coming out of 4 to take the lead. Gauvreau would begin to walk away from the top 5. Gauvreau would work his way into heavy lap by Lap 20. Dale Gonyo Jr and Dustin Bradley would be in the top 3 but were trying to navigate thru heavy lap traffic in hope of catching Gauvreau. Gauvreau would have a half track lead by Lap 31, however the yellow would be displayed for the first time as Devin Guyette came to a stop just off of turn 2. On the double file restart, Gauvreau would pull away once again and not feel any pressure to pick round #1 of the Twin Leaf series.

The 358 modifieds would be ready for the 31st running of the Memorial Cup. 4 time winner Chris Raabe would start on the pole next to 2 time winner Tim Fuller. Raabe would be the early leader with Fuller, Jordan McCreadie in pursuit. Fuller would catch Raabe from the bottom entering Turn 1 on Lap 15. Fuller was able to pull along side but Raabe was able to maintain the lead by using lap traffic to his advantage. On lap 19 the yellow would come out as Tommy Jock Jr would come to a stop between 1 and 2. On the lap 19 Raabe would again jump out to the lead. On lap 21 Lance Willix would enter the fray in the top 3. On lap 23 Willix would pull up wheel to wheel with the 2nd place Fuller, allowing Raabe to focus on the clear track in front of him. Willix would work his way around Fuller and Raabe on Lap 28 to become the new leader. However Raabe would not go away without a fight and was able to regain the lead on Lap 32, Fuller was also able to clear Willix as well. However Raabe would be able to keep Fuller at bay to become the second time 5 winner of the Memorial Cup with Dave Heaslip.

Next up, the Pro Stocks were ready to go for their 20 lap feature. Sid Harmer Jr and Joel Herne would start on the front row. The yellow would come out on Lap 1 for a car coming to a stop between 3 and 4. Harmer would take off on the restart and have a clear track in front of him. The yellow would come out again as Ian Bressette would come to stop near the pit entrance on lap 16. On the restart Harmer Jr would power up and bring it in to Victory Lane. Joel Herne would capture a very strong 2nd place finish in his return to racing this season.

The last feature of the evening would be the Limited Sportsman for 15 laps. Kevin Foster would fire from the pole and would be seeking his 2nd win of the season. On lap 2, last week's feature winner, Dustin Woods would hop into the 2nd position. Foster would begin to feel some pressure from Dylan Moore by lap 12. Yellow would come out on Lap 7 as a car slowed in turn 4. On the restart Moore would use the high side to advantage and overtake Foster for the lead. Dylan Moore would go on to win his first career win at MIR.
