POTSDAM, N.Y.—The State University of New York Athletic Conference has named SUNY Potsdam volleyball player Rachel Auerbach its women's volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 14.
Auerbach led the Bears to a 3-1 record while at the Ithaca Tournament and has helped the Bears to a 19-11 overall record. She posted a career-high 19 kills, 10 assists, and 11 digs and recorded her first triple-double of the season against host Ithaca College.
The freshman outside hitter has totaled 259 kills, 49 assists, 34 aces, 156 digs and 26 blocks in her career. Auerbach has established herself as a presence on the outside for the Bears. She leads the Bears attack in kills and is second on the team in assists this year.
Next, Potsdam (19-11, 2-2 SUNYAC) travels to SUNY New Paltz for SUNYAC East Pool play. The Bears open the tournament with SUNY Cortland on Oct. 19, at 5 p.m. and then face SUNY Plattsburgh at 7 p.m.
