To the Editor:

I’d like to encourage everyone to place their support behind Susan Duffy for NYS Assembly.

Susan has proven to be a hard-working, independent, business woman who always puts the needs of others above her own. I know firsthand how selfless and willing to help Susan is. She’s always there to lend a hand to anyone in need, and never asks for anything in return. Not only is Susan the exact kind of person you’d want as your voice in Albany, she’s determined and driven. She has never given up, she’s faced intense trials and tribulations in her life, but she persevered and came out even stronger on the other side. She’s the kind of person you want to figure out how to make our community prosper.

While her opponent seems to hide behind censorship, Susan puts herself out there with her beliefs and ideals regardless of whether or not it’s a “popular opinion,” she says what she truly believes. Honesty and integrity is what people need in today’s political climate, not another political circus animal. Susan is at a point in her life where she can dedicate 100% of her time to helping constituents, and is looking forward to doing so. She has proven to be a great mother, grandmother, sister, and as I know her: a friend. She is an advocate for those who cannot speak for themselves, and she is often quietly behind the scenes doing what she knows is right, without seeking any recognition.

I leave you with this: If you had the chance to choose between another cookie cutter politician, or a strong, dedicated grandmother, who goes above and beyond in everything she does, who would you choose? I think we both know the better option. Support Susan Duffy, I know I will be!
