To the Editor:
We are proud members of the Adirondack 46ers 14U Girls hockey team that placed 2nd in the New York State Amateur Youth Hockey Tournament on March 5, 2023 in Buffalo, NY. This success earned our team a bid to the National Tournament, which will take place from March 30 - April 3 in Anaheim, California.
Our teammates are a true representation of the north country, with athletes from Canton, Potsdam, Massena, Akwesasne, Brushton, Brasher, Malone, and Plattsburgh.
Playing hockey has been a long standing passion for all of us and being part of a team that has made it to the national level is a dream come true! However, the cost of traveling to California is a significant expense, and not all families on our team can afford it. That's why we are working hard to raise the necessary funds to make this trip possible.
If you are interested in supporting our team, donations can be made online at:
https://app.99pledges.com/fund/adirondack/. Businesses who are interested in sponsoring the team are asked to contact Melissa Roberts (315) 705-8962 or Erin Draper (315) 250-8322.
Your donation would not only help us cover the cost of the trip, but also give us the support and encouragement we need to represent our community with pride.
Thank you for taking the time to consider our request.
Sincere thanks from Adleigh Norman, Adrianna Lesperance, Allyson Draper, Anna Rossner, Ashlyn Beeles, Ava Boyea, Avery Marcil, Cecelia Connors, Emmalyn Faucher, Julia Jackson, Katelyn McCormick, Keegan Roberts, Neiva Rodriquez Sophia Amaya-Gutierrez, and Teagan Sheldon.
