Opinion: Electrical Workers Local 2032 backs Gray for Assembly

To the Editor:

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 2032 would like to announce its endorsement of Scott Gray, for Member of the NYS Assembly in the 116th District.

Local 2032 represents the members employed at the St. Lawrence FDR Power Project in Massena. We are proud to support a North Country native like Scott that will bring years of experience in many roles such as Board of Director of the Carthage Area Hospital, Chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators, and local small business owner.

Scott has not only had an impressive political resume but has also served on the Board of Directors of the Development Authority of the North Country and United Way of NNY. He has served as Chairman of the Jefferson County Board of Legislators.

Clearly, he knows the importance of giving back to his community. By electing Scott Gray as a Member of the NYS Assembly in the 116th District on November 8, 2022, you are not only voting for experience but for a local candidate that will work hard to support our local workforce and economy.

He will put the North Country first in Albany by utilizing the strong relationships with other elected officials that he has secured in his long history of public service.
