The Deep Root Center staff and board of directors would like to extend an enormous thank you to everyone who made our 3rd annual silent auction, on Feb. 19, a roaring success.
The Buccaneer Lounge has proven, the second year in a row, to be the perfect venue for this fundraising event. Thank you to bartender and good friend, Ashlee Downing, for providing a welcoming and upbeat presence. Our guests rave about how much fun they have each year.
This year we had an amazing array of fifty-three items and services, worth over $3,000, donated by incredibly generous local crafts people, artists, businesses, and individuals, including: award-winning artist Becky Harblin, craftsperson Bonnie Corse Henderson, Philip Paige from Madrid Mercantile, Maria Morrison from L.I.F.E., DRC Outdoor Coordinator, Trish Pielnick, Pizza Hut, Yoga Loft, Brewer Bookstore, Potsdam Food Co-op, Coakley’s Hardware, TAUNY, A-1 Oriental Kitchen in Canton, our good friends at the Coach Tavern in Norfolk, the amazing Josh Pitts and the Finishing Crew, who also plow the DRC driveway and solved some electrical issues in our new home, Adirondack Fragrance and Flavors, Gamer Craze, Hotel Saranac, Ye-Olde Liquors, Cindy’s Cakeshop, White’s Flowers, DRC Board Members, Andrea Marotta, Esq. and Steve Hamilton, Glow Spa, Riverside Liquor, 1844 House, former DRC Board Member, talented writer, and staunch supporter Paul Hetzler, fiber artist Kathy Montan, Walmart, our good friends, Shelby Connelly, Paula Youmell, and Jenny Kenny Morrill, North Country Tai Chi, Barking Dog Brewery, NoCo grit Coffee, Town and Country Vet Clinic, Eben’s Hearth, Skunk’s Nest, Blue Line Brewery, Township 7 Brewery, Bows and Bandanas, Brolex Contracting, Jessika at Little Italy in Canton, fiber artist Linda Auker, and Rex Hardware in Canton.
