Contemporary Tehran is the scene for this unforgettable story of Ashkan and Negar, an indie rock duo, and their dream of escaping to play in Europe.
Ashkan has been in jail so legitimate visas are out of reach.
They have to travel below the radar of theocratic authorities to look for band mates, rehearse, and play in the underground music world of Iran, as well as to find fake documentation.
The bands that play, from folk to rap, are real, and the film was shot on the run and on location in 17 days.
Amy Biancolli of The Houston Chronicle says: “These cats are wild at heart.”
