With better weather expected, Potsdam Summer Fest continues with live music, kid's fun, crafts and more

POTSDAM – Better weather is expected today and though the weekend as Potsdam Summerfest continues with live music, beer, wine and cider tasting and crafts.

On Saturday a car show, laser tag and more will round out the event.

The schedule follows:

Friday

The second day of the festival features family fun at the new Fall Island Fiesta with activities for the kids from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Ives Park starts jumping with the first day of the craft and vendor sale, starting at 10 a.m.

The evening features the Beer, Wine and Cider Tent on Fall Island starting at 4 p.m. and a great place to take in the fireworks at 9:30 p.m. (rain date for fireworks is Saturday).

Live bans will include, from 10 p.m. - 2 a.m., Divided Roads at St. Larry’s and SFM at Maxfields.

Gazebo events include: 10 - 10:30 a.m. Veils of the Nile; 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Stereopticon; 1 - 2:30 p.m. Michael Welch & Jennifer Kessler; 3-4:30 p.m. The Goddard Girls; 5-6:30 p.m. Potsdam Community Band. 

Side Stage 1:30-2 p.m. Margarita Mike; 3:30-4 p.m Ergo; 5:30-6 p.m. The Hoax; 7:30 - 8 p.m. Stephanie Fansler & Rob Zolner.

Main Stage events: 10 - 11:30 a.m. Ten Speed Taxi; 12 - 1:30 p.m. The Noncommitals, 2-3:30 p.m. David Wells; 4-5:30 p.m. Tas Cru & Mary Ann Casale; 6-7:30 p.m. Todd Family Couchfest Live; 8 - 10 p.m. Northbound.

Saturday

The festival is still in full swing Saturday with the second day of the craft and vendor show in Ives Park, along with the Antique/Classic Car show both starting at 10 a.m.

For some family activities Laser Tag will have two sessions, one for families and youngsters from 3-5 p.m. and teens and adults from 7:15 to 10 p.m.

Throughout Potsdam -- 9-10 a.m., Trillium Community Yoga, Fall Island; 6:30 - 7:15 p.m.; firefighters’ Run to the River; 10 p.m. - 2 a.m.; Divided Roads, St. Larry’s, 8-11 p.m., Double Axel, Mama Lucias

Ives Park Gazebo music: 10-11:30 a.m., Carriage House Quartet; 12-1:30 p.m., New Horizons Concert Band; 2-3:30 p.m., Caramelo; 4-5:30 p.m., Microburst; 6-7:30 p.m., New Horizons Swing Band.

Side Stage: 11:30 a.m.-noon; The Ladies; 1:30-2:30 p.m., Potsdam Dance; 4-5 p.m., The McKennas

Main Stage: 10 - 11:30 a.m., Chipman Jazz All Stars; noon-1:30 p.m., White Knuckle; 2:30-4 p.m., Aeonian; 5-6:30 p.m., Atom Ghost; 7:30-10 p.m., Ten Cent Green.
