HANNAWA FALLS -- The St. Lawrence County Conservation Corps has been working hard this summer to help maintain trails for public use.
This week the Potsdam-Canton crew worked in Hannawa Falls to help clean up the Red Sandstone Trails.
The cleanup involved some trash removal, weed whacking and trimming branches out of the path.
Over the past week the crew has also helped restore the tails at Indian Creek Nature center and the DEC Horse trails. “Without the help of the YCC, the trails at the nature center would be non-accessible to the public,” according to Rodger Hutchinson, director of the Indian Creek Nature Center.
