ST. REGIS FALLS -- State troopers arrested a 28-year-old Winthrop resident after he allegedly broke into an ex-girlfriend's residence on Days Mills Road.
Isaiah J. Brothers was later jailed on charges of second-degree burglary, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor.
Police said Brothers' former paramour returned to her home around 4 a.m. Saturday morning and found Brothers inside, making a mess and damaging property.
Brothers allegedly punched a hole in a wall, poured a bottle of bleach onto a couch and plugged the toilet with the alleged victim’s personal effects. Police also accused Brothers of stealing money from the alleged victim's car and also breaking a hair straightener, a hair dryer, the bathroom mirror and a phone charger
Brothers was arraigned in Brasher Town Court and sent to the St. Lawrence County Correctional Facility, Canton in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond.
He is to re-appear in Hopkinton Town Court on May 14 at 2 p.m.
