Circumpolar Constellations
POTSDAM: Circumpolar Constellations, free planetarium show, shows are held every Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m., in the Dr. Frank A. Revetta Planetarium, located in the basement of Stowell Hall; each show lasts about 45 minutes, and guests of all ages are welcome; attendees are encouraged to arrive early, because once the show begins, the door is locked; no food or drink are allowed in the planetarium, and as darkness is required, cell phones cannot be used during the show; free parking is available in Lot 6, near Kellas Hall.
Free rabies clinic

Writers Series begins
CANTON: St. Lawrence University’s annual Writers Series will kick off its 2019-20 season with author Ted Genoways at 8 p.m. in Sykes Common Room; free and open to the public; Genoways is the author of five books, including "This Blessed Earth," winner of the 2018 James Beard Foundation Award for Investigative Journalism and the Stubbendieck Great Plains Distinguished Book Award; and "The Chain: Farm, Factory, and the Fate of Our Food," a finalist for the 2015 James Beard Foundation Award for Writing and Literature; Writer Series is sponsored by St. Lawrence University’s Department of English and directed by Professor Natalia Singer; 315-229-5125.
