Warmer temperatures continue for Labor Day in St. Lawrence County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).
Labor Day will bring increasing clouds with a high near 79 degrees and light, variable winds, NWS says. Overnight, skies will remain mostly cloudy with lows around 57.
A few scattered showers are possible on Tuesday, particularly in the afternoon, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m., the service says The day will be partly sunny with a high near 79 and light west winds. Rainfall amounts are expected to be minimal, though isolated thunderstorms could bring higher totals.
Tuesday night will see a slight chance of showers before 8 p.m., followed by partly cloudy skies and a low near 55, forecasters say
Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs near 79 and a light southwest breeze. The clear weather is forecast to continue into the night, with lows around 59.
By Thursday, rain chances will begin to increase. While the day will start mostly sunny with highs near 80, there is a 50 percent chance of showers after 2 p.m. Rain becomes more likely Thursday night, with an 80 percent chance of showers and a low around 56.
Showers are likely to continue into Friday morning, followed by partly sunny skies and a high near 71. Rain chances will taper off by Friday night, though a few scattered showers could linger.
The weekend forecast includes a 40 percent chance of showers on Saturday with a high near 67, NWS says. Saturday night will be partly cloudy with a low around 48, and Sunday is expected to bring mostly sunny skies and a high near 65.
