POTSDAM -- Volunteers are needed to set up for the Friends of the Potsdam Public Library’s giant book sale July 13, 14 and 15.
The Friends are seeking help to set up for the book sale on Thursday, July 12 at 4 p.m. and to take down the sale on Sunday, July 15 at 2 p.m.
The sale will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, July 13 and Saturday, July 14, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday July 15, during Potsdam’s Summer Festival.
The sale is at the Friends Book Store in the basement of the Potsdam Public Library.
There will be a wide range of books, priced at $1 for hardbacks and 50 cents for paperbacks. Children's books will be especially low priced. On Sunday, July 15, a $3 "Fill a Bag" sale (our bag) will be offered.
Also needed is help to fill two-hour shifts collecting money during the sale.
To volunteer, call Hanneke LaFountain, 265-3063, Pam Yurgartis, 268-1345 or 265-0341, or the Potsdam Public Library, 265-7230.
Donations of books before the sale would also be appreciated. These may be brought to the book store on Saturdays between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., or anytime in the lobby of the library when they are open.
All proceeds from sales benefit the Potsdam Public Library.
