DICKINSON — Two St. Regis Falls residents were injured in a two-vehicle crash on CR 5 Thursday afternoon, according to state police.
Troopers responded to an accident at 4:10 p.m. and an investigation determined a black 2013 Hyundai Elantra was traveling north on County Route 5 and crossed the centerline entering the southbound lane striking a white 2024 Toyota Rav4 head on.
The operator of the Elantra, Katie R. Greguire, 22 of St. Regis Falls, was taken by ambulance to Alice Hyde Medical Center and later airlifted to University of Vermont Medical Center for life-threatening injuries.
The operator of the Rav4, Lorna J. Lucey, 58 of St. Regis Falls, was taken by ambulance to Canton-Potsdam Hospital and later transported by ambulance to SUNY Upstate Medical University due to the severity of injuries.
Greguire is in critical condition, and Lucey is in stable condition, officers said.
This investigation is ongoing with the Troop B Collision Reconstruction Unit assisting.
