Three turkey dinners will be held in the St. Lawrence County area over the next several days, with two dinners in Gouverneur and one in Helena.
The First United Methodist Church, 34 Grove St., Gouverneur will host a turkey dinner Saturday, Oct. 20 at 4 p.m. Dinner is $7.50 for adults, $4 for ages 6 to 12, and free for children under 5. Carry out and delivery will be available, but reservations must be made by Oct. 17. Call 287-2440 to make a reservation. Proceeds will benefit the Friday senior luncheon.
Also in Gouverneur, the Masonic Lodge #217 will host its 46th annual harvest dinner Thursday, Oct. 18 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the lodge, 23 Trinity Ave. The menu is roast turkey, mashed potatoes, squash, green beans, roll and pie, for $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Takeout will be available.
The Helena Fire Station will hold its turkey dinner Sunday, Oct. 21 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dinner will be $8 for adults, $4 for ages six to 12, and free for those under 5. The proceeds will benefit the Helena Fire Department Equipment Fund.
