DEKALB – “Songs from the Kitchen” traditional French Canadian music and dance with Bernie Ouimet presented by the DeKalb Historical Association will be held Saturday, Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. in the Old Meetinghouse Museum, off Rt. 11 near Hermon-DeKalb Central School.
Those of Quebecois roots or who want to learn about it are invited to hear and see traditional music and dance traditionally kept alive at kitchen parties.
Bernie will perform on the button organ, singing ballads and rounds, and teaching folk history and culture.
