MASSENA — Although the COVID-19 pandemic has somewhat slowed down the town’s rebranding project, they recently launched a new website aimed at tourists.
ExploreMassena.com has links to restaurants, hotels, attractions, breweries, and other businesses in Massena and the surrounding communities.
Councilor Sam Carbone discussed the project during the Wednesday, Dec. 16 Town Council meeting.
He said they’ve created several new logos, one featuring three rivers that he says would be an “outside-the-area type logo,” and another with a ship and birds that he says is “more or less the main logo for Massena.” They’ll also have a similar logo for Massena International Airport. Carbone said Jason Hendricks from H3 Designs, their contractor for the project, is coming up with logos for town vehicles.
There’s also a new town slogan that comes along with it — “Always in Season.” Carbone said that’s to draw attention to the year-round outdoor recreational options.
