POTSDAM -- The Potsdam Chamber of Commerce has named The Tile Company its final Pride in Potsdam nominee for 2012:
The Tile Company, at 6 Raymond Street, has dressed up the exterior of its building with two creative masterpieces.
Owner Otto Czerepak was assisted by Tracy Taylor, Coldon Maclaure, Collin Prahl, Laura Passmore, Dennis Smyth, and Sal Sarmiento for the first section of the design on the front of the building, which includes a fire-breathing dragon. Czerepak will finish the second section of the mural in the coming months.
Another exterior wall on the alleyway has been covered with a colorful mural painting of a lion’s head painted by Dennis Smyth with a geometric pattern by Collin Prahl.
“Otto has taken a very creative approach to the improvements of his building,” said Potsdam Chamber Executive Director Marylee Ballou.
“ Beyond the exterior improvements, The Tile Company continues to support wonderful artists by providing a space for the Creative Spirit Community Arts Center that host fantastic art showcases.”
