The St. Lawrence University volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-21, 18-25, 22-25, 16-25) to Rochester Institute of Technology in the third and final game of the Clarkson Invitational in Potsdam, NY.
The Saints move to 13-6 on the season.
The Saints came out firing against the Tigers, taking the first set 25-21. The Tigers then battled back to beat the Saints in the next three sets to take the win.
Working to spark the Saints offense was senior Abby Rose with 35 assists. Junior Liz Grogan led the St. Lawrence hitters with 12 kills (.579 hitting percentage). Nyasha Miller contributed a double-double with 11 kills and 13 digs. Marta Johann recorded six kills with errorless hitting for a .400 hitting percentage.
The Saints will travel to Hoboken, NJ on Oct. 16 to take part in the Stevens Institute of Technology Quad. They will battle the College of Mount St. Vincent at 10:00am.
