Three people from St. Lawrence County were killed, a toddler was in critical condition, and another adult was injured after a two-vehicle accident in Jefferson County Saturday.
Killed were the driver of a 1995 Honda, Lucas P. McCormick, 28, Cranberry Lake; front seat passenger Kimberly A. Rawson, 36, Canton; and rear seat passenger Erik J. Swinyer, 25, of Newton Falls, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
An identified toddler who was also in the rear of the vehicle was flown from the scene to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.
Lois Toland, 64, Hammond, the driver of the other vehicle, 2003 Ford Ranger, was reported in stable condition after her transport to Samaritan Medical Center in Watertown, authorities said.
The accident occurred along State Rt. 342 in the Town of Pamelia.
The investigation by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Accident Reconstruction Team is continuing, and will take several weeks, they said.
