HEUVELTON - The Mockingbirds will perform their classic country and bluegrass at Pickens Hall, 83 State St., on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m.
The Mockingbirds bring together the talents of five regional musicians to blend bluegrass, old-time, country, folk, Appalachian, and fiddle music styles.
Members of the group include former NYS Grand Champion fiddler Don Woodcock, who plays everything from western ballads to Quebecois fiddle tunes; Camilla Ammirati, specializing in old time songs and tunes on the banjo; Carter Houk on bass, bringing his broad country repertoire to the group; George Dodds on guitar and vocals to a contemporary set of songs; and Barb Heller, who plays guitar and brings traditional folk to the mix.
Tickets are $10 in advance, and $12 at the door. Performance intermission features refreshments for all patrons.
The concert is partially funded from the Northern New York Community Foundation.
