To the Editor:
Well it is that time of year again; time for family, friends and good food. This coming Thursday is Thanksgiving and I hope that we all have a little room in our hearts to thank the people who make having food on our tables possible.
There are so many people involved in putting together all the food we eat at Thanksgiving. First and foremost are the farmers and then the many people who transport our food.
It is important to take a minute out of our busy schedules to thank them for all their dedication and time. Farmers are our friends and family members; they are our neighbors and they are vital for our survival and happiness.
I would just like to say thank you to all the farmers and food industry workers who produce the food we eat 365 days a year. I surely hope that everyone has heard the saying “Have you hugged a farmer today?”
Well let’s keep them in our thoughts and say thank you if we see them. They will still be working on Thursday that’s for sure!
