To the Editor:

The family of Janet Eloise Conklin, Pierrepont, would like to express our deep gratitude to all our family and friends for the many acts of loving support and kindness during her short but brave battle with leukemia.

The thoughtful gestures, words of comfort, cards, visits, flowers, food and donations made in Janet’s memory have been such a reflection on how many lives she touched, and mean so much to each of us.

Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Fletcher Allen Medical Center for their compassion and care.

A very special thank you to Father Doug Lucia, Pat White, Diane Foote, and Thomas Phalon for helping us send Janet home with such a beautiful mass. And to all who attended the funeral service and the celebration of life. It was such a comfort to the family to see so many people show their love and respect.

Special thanks to the VFW, Canton for hosting the celebration of Janet’s life and to all the family and friends who prepared a feast fit for Janet.

Janet was an amazing woman who will live on in the hearts of all whose lives she has touched. She will be greatly missed by all.
